Who Want to Accelerate Business Growth, Boost Revenue, and Sharpen Their Influence
You’ve launched a business. You’ve been working hard to make it successful and profitable, but you dream of bigger things. A bigger practice. Bold ideas you want to share with the world. A product you want to sell. The next “layer” you want to add to your business model. Or your next big step along your career path.
But do you have the tenacity to take charge of your business and get to the next level?
Let’s face it, big dreams are exciting, but they are also scary.
So much so, you may be putting off that next, essential step.
I bet you have your next step in mind. I bet you can feel it…and even taste it.
So, what’s holding you back? Fear and doubt get in the way… You know this dream career is possible. In fact, when you allow yourself to dream about your future, you know the possibilities are endless. The sky [really] is the limit to what you can do! But, the reality is, you’re worried.
…about your competition. The nutrition space is getting crowded, voices are getting louder, and the platforms are bigger. How will you stand out?
…about your business savvy. You don’t have a business degree. The last thing you want to do is invest more of your precious time and hard-earned money into something that might not work.
…about your time. You’re already strapped with work. How will you fit in more work?
…about your ability to commit to the work. Can you really stay motivated and devoted to what it will take to level up, grow and thrive?
…about your ability to make the hard decisions. To get started. To make the move. To say no. To say YES!
It all feels overwhelming.
So much so, it’s easier to pack it in. To look the other way. To put this next step in your career on the back burner…for another season.
Fear, anxiety, overwhelm…what you’re feeling is real.
It really feels like a GINORMOUS step!
That saying, “Just do it!” is great in theory, except when you’re putting yourself out there -- your business and your reputation… on the line.
I was filled with fear.
I was a fear-filled dietitian in 2008. I had been a full-time mom for 9 years, having turned in my lab coat in 1997 when I had my second child. In 2007, as my youngest entered preschool, I could see my future. A future of volunteering in the school lunch room and on field trips, giving free talks to local groups in my town, of doing laundry every day, grocery shopping and cooking, going out to lunch with friends, and maybe playing some golf.
Not a bad life.
Although these were noble, valuable things to do with my life, I knew in my heart, these things would not sustain me long-term. And, I didn’t want to start a business journey AFTER my kids launched.
I wanted to be in the position to scale up when they left the nest.
So, I spent 2007 learning how to start a private practice.
I read every book the nutrition industry had on the subject at the time. I took the study guide tests. I read the online resources from the Small Business Association. I did teleconference trainings, lurked on the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetics Practice Group for every business tidbit I could learn, and slowly planned my business.
We moved to Nashville at the end of that year and my son entered Kindergarten. After settling in, I knew it was time to take the leap. In May 2008, full of anticipation, fear and doubt, I opened my private practice. I had my first official client on July 3, nearly two months later.
Since then, I have taken many risks, and have had my share of failures and successes.
I’ve launched and operated two private practices. I’ve hired and fired. I’ve been a freelance writer, a blogger for almost 10 years, a podcaster, and a consultant (all wins!). I’ve been a legal expert (yuck!). I’ve helped companies develop, launch, and market new products. I’ve developed, launched, and marketed my own products. And, I’ve been on national, international and TEDx speaking stages sharing my thought leadership, too many times to count.
Through it all, I still experience fear and doubt. And if anyone tells you they don’t, they’re lying to you.
Every single time I try something new, do something different, or plow ahead into an area where few have gone, I feel that familiar tummy swell of discomfort. Doubt, fear, and a desire to run in the opposite direction, set in.
My friend, fear, doubt, and angst…they never really go away.
They become familiar friends on the journey of growth and development.
You learn to live with them. Deal with them. Keep your head down and keep going.
You get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Yes, I have forged my own career. On my own time, on my own dime, and with little help, support or guidance.
Often, I found myself in a position with no clear indicator of whether something would fly or tank.
Yes, I learned how to run and scale up my business the long and hard way. While my recognition as a childhood nutrition specialist grew quickly, cracking the six-figure mark took much longer. The truth is, it all took thoughtful planning and hustle.
I don’t want it to take that long for you.

She holds you accountable to your business goals and career dreams.Through mentorship, she helps you accelerate your business to the next level, reaching your personal and professional goals.
What You Get:
THRIVE Mastermind is 6-month program beginning in February (ending in July), and includes 6 group sessions, 3 personal strategy sessions with Jill, and 3 additional expert calls, plus more.
6 group calls, occurring once a month, beginning February 2018.
The group meets on a 2-hour call on Wednesdays (morning or mid-day, depending on time zone) via Zoom and recorded for later viewing.
You will come to the group calls prepared with the work you’ve done between sessions, armed with “here’s where I have questions or need help.” Jill facilitates your hot seat (a period of time on the call where you get to tap the group for feedback), highlights the collective group feedback, asks questions, stretches your mindset, and helps you work through any challenges or resistance you are experiencing. If you’re stuck, you’ll get suggestions.
Three – 60-minute calls via Zoom with Jill; recorded for later viewing. The topic of these are related to your specific business goals and challenges.
During the personal calls, we focus exclusively on your business – your goals, where you’re stuck, and we check out the possibilities for you and your business. This is where you’ll plan your specific business goals, set timelines, and show up with your progress.
Three – one hour calls via Zoom; recorded for later viewing.
During the expert calls, you will get expert coaching in three different areas of business growth and thought leadership:
Using Speaking to Elevate Your Thought Leadership with Alexia Vernon
Alexia is a master at helping you get comfortable on-stage, define your “idea worth spreading,” and structure your presentation to transform your audience. She helps others use public speaking and heart-centered, high impact communication to radically and positively transform people’s lives, grow their audience and increase revenue.
The Importance of Branding Your Business with Katie Proctor
Katie is an industry-savvy RD, having worked on the corporate side for many years. She is the founder of Wellevation HQ, a consulting company working to partner bloggers and business owners with brands.
Growing your Private Practice & Beyond with Angela Lemond
Angela is a pediatric dietitian and co-owner of Lemond Nutrition, a multi-employee private practice serving kids and families in the Dallas area.
Welcome to my home! We will gather together toward the end of our program to meet face-to-face and have a 3-day intimate experience. During this weekend, you will:
• Showcase your 6 + 6: your year’s accomplishments thus far, and your end of year plan • Rub shoulders with your fellow mastermind dietitians • Present your programs, presentations, books, sales pages, website – whatever you want the group to touch, see, hear and feel • Dream out loud and tell us your big, hairy, audacious plan for your career • Share your unique points of view as it relates to your audience and business • Get inspiration and feedback on anything you want to share and celebrate!
We will break out into small groups for activities. We will move. We will relax. And we will work. Plan to start the retreat experience mid-morning Friday and end mid-day Sunday.
We will work and dine at my home. A block of rooms will be reserved for the weekend.
Please note: travel expenses and accommodations are not included.
More details will be forthcoming.

I will be happy to review and provide feedback on up to two documents (ie, a sales page, a speaker's one sheet, a rate sheet, etc) per month via email in addition to prep work related to personal strategy calls.
